iWork ‘09

Apple have released a new version of iWork with new versions of Keynote, Pages and Numbers.

Keynote has always been my favourite application in iWork and there are some new features which look interesting. Doesn’t seem to be a huge number of new features though, main ones which will make me upgrade are the integration with the iPhone (or iPod touch) and the web show functionality.

Haven’t got a copy yet, but will get the family edition so I can install it onto all the Macs in the house and the possible future MacBook I am thinking about getting.

I may also get iLife ’09, in the main as it usually integrates better with the newer version of iWork.

  1. I certainly like the look of iPhoto 09 and MS Office v.X (circa 2001) stalls quite often on the Intel iMac and iWork would be just fine for our use.

The Mac Box Set looks great value especially if Snow Leopard isn’t far away (well Leopard was 16mths ago and most OS X releases have been at smaller intervals than that).

  2. I just wanted to say that your instructions for connecting a Windows based PC to a USB printer through Apple’s Airport Express were right on. I was able to set it up quickly and it works great. The workaround for assigning the specifically correct driver for my Borther laser printer worked well also. Thank You!
